As the days get shorter and temperatures drop, it’s more important than ever to implement ways to keep moving every day, just like you would commit to a study routine.
It’s well established that exercise improves mental health and cognitive function, so make sure you’re getting at least 30 minutes a day as you enter revision mode for the end of T1. Download the DeakinMOVES app and join our June fitness challenges, or give our fitness centres or online wellbeing classes a try – it’ll keep you firing and in peak condition as you sit your end-of-unit assessments!

If you’re studying online or looking to decompress from home, take advantage of our free online wellbeing classes! Register below to join your live session(s) via Zoom.
- Mondays: Yoga, 12.15–1pm
- Tuesdays: Meditation, 10.15–10.30am
- Wednesday: Pilates, 12.15–1pm
- Thursdays: Meditation, 10.15–10.30am.

Join us as we celebrate Men’s Health Week (12–18 June)! Men’s Health Week focuses on not just on men’s physical health, but also their mental health and emotional wellbeing.
This year’s theme is Healthy Habits and so during the week, we’ll be sharing some great great tips and tricks to help you stay happy and healthy – stay tuned to our DeakinACTIVE Instagram and Facebook channels for updates!

Every Wednesday from 7–10am, DeakinACTIVE provides a Safe Space inside our facilities that is welcoming and accessible to all. We invite all students and staff who may be neurodivergent, part of our LGBTIQ+ community and/or who may have a mental or physical disability, to come and train with us at no cost and with no obligations.
