Get Active in April: join a monthly DeakinMOVES fitness challenge
Trimester 1 is ramping up, daylight hours are waning, and chocolate eggs and hot cross buns are plentiful. Could you use a little motivation to get moving?
Staying physically active not only energises your body, but it can reduce your stress levels, boost your mood and amplify your study efforts.
If you could use a goal to keep you on track, then join one of our April group challenges! To sign up and view full terms and conditions, log into the DeakinMOVES app* and navigate to the ‘Join our challenges’ section of the homepage.
Are you based at Burwood or Waurn Ponds?
You can join our Get Active April challenge by attending at least ten group fitness classes at either the Burwood or Waurn Ponds fitness centres throughout the month of April – why not set a goal to attend as many different classes as you can?
And best of all, for the first two weeks of April, Strive members can access group fitness classes for free!
Simply register via the DeakinMOVES app to get started. At the end of April, two lucky winners will be selected (one from each fitness centre) to receive a free one-month Thrive membership.
Attention all Warrnambool members!
We have a couple of special challenges for you all this month on the DeakinMOVES app, so start tracking your activity to collect as many MOVES as you can.
You can choose to join the Beginner MOVES challenge (in which you’ll track at least 10,000 MOVES for the month) or the Advanced MOVES challenge (at least 30,000 MOVES).
