Deakin is proud to support the Get Active Victoria campaign, urging everyone to incorporate exercise and movement into their daily routines for improved health and wellbeing.
It’s no secret that daily exercise has multiple benefits for our overall health and wellbeing, but we get it – it’s easy to let our fitness fall by the wayside when juggling various other commitments like studying, working and just your busy day-to-day life.
Moving your body for 30 minutes a day is not really that hard once you become more aware. Whether it’s structured sports or incidental movement like walking around campus, parking your car 5 minutes further away or taking the stairs instead of the lift, aiming for at least 30 minutes of exercise daily is essential for optimal health.
By making small adjustments to your daily routine to increase physical activity, you can enjoy lasting benefits for both your physical and mental health.
During Active April and to encourage a more active lifestyle, we’re offering a variety of FREE Get Active April activities online and on campus!
