It’s time to have fun and Play! DeakinACTIVE are pleased to present DeakinPLAY, a social, fun and safe way to play organised sports and activities, supported by DUSA, Deakin Res and Deakin Sport & Recreation.
DeakinPLAY covers a range of activities and social sports competition at Deakin University – including come & try activities, casual play opportunities or more structured but still social & fun sports competitions where you play actual games!
New to sport or interested to play a sport that you haven’t before? Come and try nights supported by different DUSA clubs so that you can try a variety of different sports without the commitment and just for the fun.
A dedicated time for free play where you can just shoot hoops or catch up with new friends in a relaxed and safe environment.
Structured week-nightly basketball and netball competitions that anyone of any ability can be involved in. More sports to come – watch this space!
To start off DeakinPLAY will offer Netball and Basketball, single sex and mixed competitions for Trimester 1.

No, everyone is welcome! If your goal is simply to meet new people, or to keep fit, or to play more competitively we can cater for all levels of amateur competition.
No, individuals are welcome! We’ll add you to a team who need extra players and will be making up teams too.
