DeakinACTIVE runs a number of programs or has affiliations to provide as many outlets for engaging with any sport or fitness activity you could want to be part of – from a social play to national standard level sporting competitions.

DeakinPLAY is the first of its kind, developed by students of Deakin University for students, staff and the wider community alike. DeakinPLAY provides a range of activities including come & try sessions, freeplay and competitive social sport for all abilities. Whether you have never participated in sport, want to try a new activity, meet new people, or be involved as a way to catch up with mates – DeakinPLAY is a great launching platform to get moving and have fun at the same time.

Deakin Golf – Centenary Park Golf Course

Located on the doorstep of the Mornington Peninsula, Centenary Park Golf Course is the ultimate destination for all things golf and having fun! Whether you’re playing a round on our picturesque 18-hole or 9-hole golf course, having a hit on the driving range, getting some tips from our PGA Pros, or just relaxing in the cafe or on the deck with great food and drinks, you’re sure to have a ‘hole’ lot of fun. Centenary Park Golf Course is a public golf course and offers student discounts. No clubs? No worries. Golf clubs and cart hire as also available.

Deakin University has a naming rights partnership with the Melbourne Boomers, until at least the end of the 2020/21 WNBL season.
The partnership is multi-faceted and includes Deakin students undertaking internships with the WNBL Club; active interest and participation from the University’s Exercise Nutrition and Sport Science School.
