Join one of our group fitness classes and have fun working out! DeakinACTIVE is a great community of people who share your goals of being fit and healthy and looking and feeling fantastic. Our trainers will support you and help keep you accountable to meet your fitness goals.

We have a variety of group fitness classes on offer – so there’s sure to be something for everyone:

Abs and core
Our Core workouts will focus on exercises that use your body without support – like push- ups, sit-ups, and abdominal crunches. These exercises will strengthen and train your lower back, hips, abdomen and pelvis to work together for better balance and stability.

Spin
High energy cardio based class with energising music! Be a part of the atmosphere as we spin, grind and sprint our way to victory! Be sure to bring a drink bottle as you are guaranteed to sweat. Fantastic for leg definition and maximum calorie burn!

Cardio HIIT
Our cardio HIIT sessions are structured to improve your aerobic capacity and muscular endurance. We utilise a variety of endurance bodyweight exercises and high intensity repeated movements to get you out of breath and breaking a good sweat.

Bar Pump/Strength
Bar pump is our full body strength and conditioning class that offers a range of weighted exercises to assist in excelling your overall strength, power and endurance using a mixture of timed and rep-based exercises. This class focuses on compound movements working multiple joints.

Boxing
Our Boxing workouts will torch up to 600 calories an hour while sculpting your arms, shoulders, core, and legs. This full body workout requires extreme focus to nail those punch sequences, so is also an excellent way to train your mind and body too. These sessions are tailored to participants of all experience levels are a great way to train socially.

Pilates
Our Pilates class focuses on improving flexibility, strength, and body awareness through controlled movements. These sessions are less focused on high intensity activity and are geared towards functional movement and mobility.

Yoga
Our Yoga sessions help connect the body, breath, and mind. It uses physical postures, breathing exercises, and meditation to improve overall health. This relaxing class will leave you feeling refuelled and energised.

Meditation (online only)
Relaxing meditation to calm the body and mind and focus on our breath to achieve physical, mental, and emotional relaxation.
